Third Sunday of Advent
This is the day which the Lord hath made: we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
How we love to sing this little song for Sunday School and as a Call to Worship.
Even though we may cough and choke and our bones may creak and grown, how many of us really stop to appreciate the dawning of another day? Today, as I try to put my thoughts in words, the sun is about to break over the horizon. I know I’m going to see lots of dust and dirt that I haven’t seen much in the last week or so because the days have been dark and gloomy.
It seems everyone in the workplace just lives for Fridays or a holiday to come. I know this only normal for humans.
So many times at this season of the year we get so involved in shopping and planning for Christmas Day itself, we don’t stop to be thankful for the dust or the creaking bones and enjoy each day as it comes.
So with the advent season, let’s all make a promise to slow down and enjoy each day that the Lord hath made.
